Lap-See Lam: Bamboo Palace, Revisited at Blindspot Gallery

Lap-See Lam: Bamboo Palace, Revisited at Blindspot Gallery

The centerpiece of the exhibition is a video installation, but since video art is notoriously difficult to photograph, here are photos of neon and glass sculptures. Recurring motifs of bamboo and mandarin/orange continue themes of migration, belonging, finding new places, and the danger of losing identity.
(Btw, the Russian word for the orange is апельсин (apel’sin); borrowed from the Dutch language, it means Chinese apple)

Exhibition period: 24.02–2.05
Gallery address: 15/F, Po Chai Industrial Building, Wong Chuk Hang
