M+, Asia's global museum of contemporary visual culture in the West Kowloon Cultural District (WestK) in Hong Kong, will present M+ at Night: Festive Play on Friday, 5 December 2025, celebrating the last edition of the popular after-hours series this year. As winter festivities approach, the event invites visitors to gather friends and celebrate the year’s end with a delightful evening of music, laughter, and memorable encounters.

The night promises a vibrant line-up of performances by artists across genres, including classical harmonica by CY Leo, new wave Korean band LEENALCHI, rising singer-songwriter Gordon Flanders, emerging stand-up comedian Vivek Mahbubani and dynamic DJ Mr. Ho. On the special night, visitors will also enjoy exclusive after-hours access to all galleries on L2 during the event until 22:30, including exhibitions Dream Rooms: Environments by Women Artists 1950s–Now, M+ Sigg Collection: Inner Worlds, Things, Spaces, Interactions, Making It Matters, Shanshui: Echoes and Signals and Robert Rauschenberg and Asia. Visitors are also invited to take part in hands-on art activities including collaborative painting and festive card workshops for a joyful winter celebration.

Titled ‘No Label Fits All’, the June edition of M+ at Night invites you to celebrate the diverse ways of partying and navigating a museum. Whether you’re recharging in a quiet corner of a gallery, striking up deep conversations about art or losing yourself on the dance floor, this evening is all about embracing your true self in all its complexity.

Ticketholders will also get exclusive access to visit all General Admission exhibitions after regular museum hours during the event.

Asia’s global museum of contemporary visual culture in the West Kowloon Cultural District (WestK) in Hong Kong, celebrates the return of the popular M+ at Night series on the first Friday of April, May, and June 2025, with the first one on Friday, 4 April 2025. Three major local artists, On Chan, Yoyo Sham and Serrini, will headline the Spring Season on 4 April 2025, 2 May 2025 and 6 June 2025 respectively, featuring dynamic programmes to invite visitors to witness a spectacle where sound and style converge in celebration of artistry and innovation. 

On the evening of Friday, 4 April 2025, M+ at Night: Beyond the Frame will offer a special night where dynamic lighting, energetic music, exciting creative activities and drinks take over the museum. Pablo Picasso once said that he spent his entire life learning to draw like a child. His works radiate a boundless sense of freedom and vitality emanating a raw, rebellious, unfiltered creative energy. Decades later, his legacy continues to shake up the way people see art. Inspired by the Special Exhibition The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Picasso for Asia—A Conversation, M+ at Night: Beyond the Frame will dive into Picasso’s legacy from a whole new perspective through art, music and dance. Ticketholders will also get exclusive access to visit this spectacular exhibition after regular museum hours during the event.

M+, Asia’s global museum of contemporary visual culture in the West Kowloon Cultural District (WestK) in Hong Kong, will present M+ at Night: Festive Enchantment on the evening of Friday, 6 December 2024, inviting visitors to a holiday party. The event will feature two well-loved local singer-songwriters, KIRI T and Moon Tang, who will sing individual sets infused with festive elements. Furthermore, an acclaimed local tap dance troupe from Step Out Studios will perform live jazz music. To round off this year’s M+ at Night series, DJs will deliver seasonal hits and keep the party going all night long.

The M+ at Night series for October, November, and December 2024, in collaboration with Warner Music Asia, is set to elevate the event to unparalleled enjoyment and experience through a series of curatedmusic performances and activities.

What's special about the closing apart from the exhibition itself is... Mr Koo is bringing his interactive installation, "Buying Happiness" to the gallery and the local band, Pee Break will give us good music and vibes.

Mr Koo's "Buying Happiness" serves as a commentary on consumerism and mental health. Be the first to grab an art piece for just $1, with all proceeds going to Mind HK!

Plus, get ready for a live performance by Pee Break. They'll bring to us a mix of post-punk and post-country vibes where absurdity meets introspection in a sound that will stick with you long after the evening ends.

To kick off the evening, editor and translator Wing Chan and co-curator of ‘signals…瞬息’Celia Ho will host the launch of the print edition of Power Naps Post, an atmospheric intervention of the exhibition series. During the publication launch, Chan will introducehow the project serves as an experiment for readers to experience the exhibitions sideways.The session will offer a power nap moment for the audience to listen to selected writers’audio reading of their contributions. Karaoke has been an important part of the cultural life in Asia, and we would like to inviteyou to sing along to songs that echo the themes explored in this exhibition. The exhibition reimagines weather signals, human interpretation of natural sounds, rhythmic whirring of machines, and even the perception of the world in silence. The song list compiled by ParaSite team members and interns spans genres, eras, and languages, and we would like toend the show with a bang made by you.

Live Electronics by REBEARTH, feat. Break Dance by JIMMY SUEN@FlowRulerz crash the earth.

REBEARTH is a music producer, composer and spoken word poet based in Hong Kong by way of Montreal where he studied music. Known for his raw lyrics and unique emotive beats dripping with cinematic melodies, REBEARTH is sonically eclectic yet immediately recognizable. He has been performing live sets showcasing original songs and beats and work alongside with international DJs such as Friction, Kode9 and Dubb Phizix. He is also involved with a few bands including his very own Chinese orchestra band “Chi Harmonix” and a Nu-Jazz band “J.O.S”.

Jimmy Suen is a member of Hip Hop street dance crew FlowRulerz. Suen appeared in HK Arts Festival both as choreographer and dancer in ‘Double Bubble’ (2019) and ‘MOKITA’ (2021).

“The Saath-Saath Project” announces the release of its debut album in November 2021 from PARMA Recordings. This project involves a series of cross-cultural collaborations between musicians, composers and scholars, aimed at forging creative dialogue and experimentation around musical practices in China and India – the two Asian neighbours with cultural ties since ancient times.

The preview session on 24 April 2021 (Sat) at Hanart TZ Gallery offers the Hong Kong audience a sneak-peek into the album highlights, comprised of original vocal and instrumental compositions, and the associated documentary directed by noted Indian filmmaker Surabhi Sharma.
