Léon Wuidar at White Cube

Léon Wuidar at White Cube

Elegant and heavily architecture-inspired abstracted paintings by Belgian artist. I was absolutely not surprised to learn that he was a drawing teacher and a professor of graphic arts, but they are much more than geometrical forms and colour schemes. There’s simplicity and clarity but also a subtle sense of humor and a lot of visual references to typography, architecture and art history.
