Paloma Varga Weisz and Sophie von Hellermann: Condition I-VI and Blue Room at Massimo de Carlo

Paloma Varga Weisz and Sophie von Hellermann: Condition I-VI and Blue Room at Massimo de Carlo

Technically, these are two different exhibitions, but first of all, they are related, and secondly — both rooms made me feel sad that you should not touch art. The surface of Paloma Varga Weisz’s sculptures is so inviting, all the preserved records of her marks and movements are so visible that it’s difficult to resist the temptation of tracing them. The second room, a collaborative project with Sophie von Hellermann, is a theatrical cabinet of curiosities, where the personal memories and impressions are merged with fantasies and dreams.

Exhibition period: 29.05–30.08
Gallery address: 2/F, Barrack Block, Tai Kwun, Central
