Join us for the opening of ‘Deep in the Heart of Love’, the culmination of Felix SC Wong’s residency at Square Street Gallery. During the process of painting over empty cardboard boxes and cans, Felix found resonance within their emptiness. They echo his feelings of hollowness since his mother’s departure, which he is still reluctant to face. Both hinge upon absence, a gaping hole indicating the lack of what once was there. The ensuing series of photographs shot in his old home shows Felix embarking on the process of processing his mother’s passing and reflecting on this hollowness.
