A solo show of paintings by Xi Jiu ,”A Tiger in the Clover Garden,” opens next Saturday, September 19, from 2-7pm.
In Xi Jiu’s new works, the domestic and the surreal converge, transforming banality into dreams. Animals, plants, and humans suggest our ancient entanglements, collapsing space and time.
I write about every exhibition I went to, and I go to almost every exhibition there is in Hong Kong. I shoot and edit my own photos for this blog.
I enjoy visiting artists and seeing their studios. I show them the way I see them, hopefully revealing something interesting.
