These Artists: Julie and Jesse (Lattitude22n)

The powerful and endlessly creative duo consists of Swiss designer Julie Progin and American artist Jesse Mc Lin. Experimenting with ceramics as a medium they are constantly shifting and expanding the properties of the material and our perception of it. Their works are filled with humour, kindness, care, and incredible attention to detail. Their studio—quite expectedly—is filled with current works, old projects, trial and error, artefacts and curiosities (I was blown away by the porcelain throw-outs from the Jingdezhen; one Emperor’s trash—is modern man’s antique).

Recently they had an exhibition at Novalis Art Design (if you missed it here’s a link to my post about it).
