I enjoy visiting artists and seeing their studios. I show them the way I see them, hopefully revealing something interesting.

Sep 15 Contours of Expression at Whitestone Gallery

I know I should be fair and write about all the artists in this exhibition, but please allow me some favoritism: the works by my favorite ceramic duo Julie & Jesse look incredible both on their own and paired with the paintings by Tsuyoshi Maekawa, Tetsuo Mizù, and Kohei Kyomori. Their experimental approach, combined with curiosity and emotional storytelling, allows Julie and Jesse to switch the perception of porcelain and ceramics from the utilitarian to pure art and poesy.
