Contrary to the title, most of the paintings are not of Un Cheng’s bedroom, but they all capture intimate moments or very special memories. Night train, spilled boba tea, lonely mattress, first snow. Isolated from context, these snaps of reality feel familiar and recognizable while still being dreamlike and distant.
