GAZE: Through the Collector’s Eye at Bonhams

  • Hong Kong Hong Kong (map)

Behind every collected work lies an unspoken story — one shaped not only by value or provenance, but by encounter, memory, and resonance. From today to 24 September 2026, Bonhams Hong Kong presents GAZE: Through the Collector’s Eye, a selling exhibition that explores art through the lens of collectors.

The exhibition brings together 15 selected modern and contemporary works across periods, geographies and artistic styles — from modern portraiture, still life to post-war abstraction and expressive landscapes. Featured artists include Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, Bernard Buffet, Georges Mathieu, Joan Snyder, Lucy Bull, Hsiao Chin, Hao Liang, Li Huayi, Stephen Wong Chun Hei, and others.

GAZE brings these dialogues to the forefront by pairing selected works with candid reflections from collectors. Seen through the collector’s eye, the exhibition invites viewers to encounter the works from a more personal perspective — and to discover their own points of connection.

Venue address: 11/F, Six Pacific Place, Queen’s Road East, Wanchai
