A spatial practitioner and visual artist based in Hong Kong. Trained in architecture at KU Leuven and the University of Hong Kong, Lam is also a former resident at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France. His work focuses on the intricate relationships between nature, humans, and the built environment. He cofounded Project Tombolo, an architecture design and build project which uses built spaces as a social tool to bridge outlying island communities in Hong Kong with the city.

A core focus of Lam’s practice lies in the notion of the keloid - an overreacted scar tissue as a result of the body trying to repair its wounds. The keloid is an analogy of the modern day environment we live in - neither manmade or natural, and in perpetual conflict. The work of Lam thus aims to uncover the remnants of such conflicts as a generator of latent local culture.
