I always see antique art as a very much needed reminder that exquisite craftsmanship and unapologetic beauty exist — and they don’t even require any knowledge to start appreciating them (I mean, of course it will help). The perfection of glaze, the laconic beauty of form, the precision of brushstrokes, the glistening of gold, the glowing of colours. Stunning. Highly recommended.
