Mary Weatherford: Persephone at Gagosian
An exploration and visual contemplation of light, darkness, change, and journey. I think knowing too much about Persephone’s myth isn’t helping me see much of its details in these paintings, but the narrative of the earth and the underworld’s juxtaposition is something I can definitely follow.
