Scarlett Leung Tsz Yung: In a trance at Grotto FA

Scarlett Leung Tsz Yung: In a trance at Grotto FA

Following the natural lines of the wood. Extending. Rhyming. Intertwining.
The more you look at them, the more obvious the connection to Scarlett’s other art practice becomes. As a tattoo artist, she works with the live canvas a human body is, letting the initial idea follow the natural flow.
Some of the swirls look like smoke traces, some resemble the surface of gas giants. Some are more abstract, some reference nature more directly. I particularly liked the lightboxes with the dreamy and slightly ghostly branches and blades of grass.

Exhibition period: 12.09–24.10
Gallery address: 2/F, East 17, No. 17 Main Street East, Shau Kei Wan
