Tobe Kan: Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Good Night at Gallery Exit

Tobe’s works always give this distinctive soft and fresh feel, very soothing yet vivid. New experiments with antique plates and objects made me imagine the porcelain dinnerware set — wouldn’t it look great?
The unusual second part of the exhibition is a collaboration with artist collective CPY. Using photos from Chinese marketplaces and platforms, changed and styled with AI and painted by anonymous Chinese painters, the art collective raises the question of the origins and outsourcing of the styles and influences.
