Training Centre for the Soul at Square Street Gallery
The question of who is training whom (and what is shaping us while we attempt to shape something) is as old as human society. From pondering how our bodies, our environment, our languages, our groups and strata, our organizations and institutions, our communities and cultures shape and form us, we now naturally move on to think about AI. It has already been reported that the writing style of generative AI has become more accepted and even desirable by some writers and editors. With the feedback loop so quick, the mutual training becomes faster and simultaneously less noticeable. What will this mean for more in-depth subjects than just writing or visual trends? Will this wave of technology be the training centre for the soul? And what will be the next thing humanity will be both scared and obsessed about?
