Wonders of Imperial Carpets at Hong Kong Palace Museum

Far more than just carpets. Ceramics and metalwork, manuscripts and miniatures, jewelry and precious treasures — all were objects of trade, exchange, migration, learning, and diplomacy. Covering the periods of the Safavid dynasty (1501–1736), Mughal dynasty (1526–1857), and Ottoman dynasty (1299–1923), the exhibition traces the interwoven histories of exchange between the Islamic world and China.
