‘Dreamlike’ is the first word that comes to mind when you see paintings by Wu Sibo.
Even though the depicted scenes are based on real life observations from his hometown or the news, there’s a certain eeriness in them, an element of understatement, maybe a bit of a mystery.
Big fan of this way of hanging the paintings — it stimulates the storytelling and helps create a vague but intriguing narrative.
