What happens when urban spectacle is inflated, deflated, flattened, and pacified?
From the historical erasure of wild South China tigers along the Shenzhen-Hong Kong border to modern floating harborfront spectacles and balloon festivals, this exhibition explores the act of inflation as both a physical material process and a mechanism of control.
Bringing together latex sculptures, moving-image installations, and speculations about urban development, the exhibition interrogates how pneumatic forms and media pacification, shape our experience of public space and collective memory.
