On Sunday 9 August, join us for an artist sharing by River Lin on My Body is a Para Site.

How can a living body embody an institution? What shifts when that body moves beyondit? This chapter marks a pivotal shift in Lin’s ongoing My Body is… series: after taking overmuseums, a library and a university, My Body is a Para Site breaks through institutionalwalls for the first time, traversing across the city.

Lin will trace how his practice shifted from unsettling the choreography of institutionalspaces—their routines and established agendas—to that of everyday life in public space,through the agency of the body. Rather than recounting the weeklong’s interventions, wewill dive into the stakes: who is allowed access to particular places, and how bodiestransform space. Join us to explore what it means for an institution to be a presence ratherthan a physical site: wherever the artist stands, wherever we gather, wherever newrelationships form.

The artist sharing will be moderated by Celia Ho and Jessie Kwok, co-curators of theprogramme Elsewhere in Me, and will be conducted in English.
