JPS Gallery is pleased to announce the debut solo exhibition of emerging artist Teddy Leung on view at the gallery’s Hong Kong location in LANDMARK ATRIUM. The exhibition marks the first-ever solo show of the artist and is a cornerstone of his artistic career. Drawing inspiration from working in the hustle and bustle Central district of Hong Kong, Teddy uses his original character, CEO KWERKY as his artistic agent to explore the daily work life of a white-collar in the metropolitan with a surrealist undertone. 

The series of work is a manifestation of the artist’s distinctively diverse oeuvre. Academically trained in both painting and photography, Teddy combined the two mediums under an experimental surrealist light.Over the course of one year, Teddy captures the city lights as well as his direct experience through employing the long exposure technique. The images are then manipulated into atmospheric totems, which reflects the urban-dwelling and working environment of the city.
