Zoom-in Hong Kong Art:

  • Hong Kong Hong Kong (map)

The Hong Kong Museum of Art is committed to promoting Hong Kong art. This talk series invites Hong Kong artists and scholars from diverse fields to share their insights, offering the audience an in-depth exploration of the multifaceted charm and cultural richness of Hong Kong art.

For the inaugural session, we are honoured to welcome esteemed ceramic artist Rosanna Li, whose remarkable half-century career has shaped the soul of the city through her works of clay. With deft hands, she sculpts the essence of everyday life—her iconic, plump figurines have not only graced museums and galleries but have also animated public spaces, like the airport, MTR station and bustling streets. These rotund, cheerful companions, with their soothing smiles, have become a balm for urban fatigue, weaving themselves into the collective memory of Hong Kong people.
