The Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM or the Museum) is pleased to unveil its latest thematic exhibition, “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: A Day in the City ─ An Experimental Study of Things Across Time”, on view in Gallery 7 from 31 July 2026. The exhibition is organised by the HKPM and solely sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust as part of “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series”.
Curated by guest curator of the HKPM, Grace Cheng, “A Day in the City” brings together nine established and emerging Hong Kong artists across diverse disciplines, featuring paintings, sculpture, ceramics, and multimedia art. The exhibition creates a remarkable space for dialogue between the majestic grandeur of the Forbidden City and the vibrancy of contemporary Hong Kong. Bridging Chinese heritage and contemporary art, the exhibition invites visitors on a journey across time to discover how historical wisdom and traditions continue to resonate in modern life. Through experimental artistic expression, it reimagines cultural heritage for the contemporary city with renewed vitality.
