Walking up from the steep, crisscrossing streets of Sheung Wan, "46 Sai Street" is not merely the street address of Leo Gallery's Hong Kong space, but an experiential field newly remeasured by artist Xiao Bo through the medium of painting. Following his 2025 solo exhibition Container at Leo Gallery Shanghai, Xiao Bo extends the anchor of his practice to Hong Kong, continuing his profound excavation of the medium's intrinsic essence. This tangible street beneath our feet represents a specific, personal everyday experience, while simultaneously standing as an unyielding reality independent of individual willāfunctioning much like a "container" that carries universal reality. In this exhibition, Xiao Bo translates the complementary reflection between "individual experience" and "objective reality" into a quiet dialogue between body, time, and material through a highly rational visual vocabulary.
